(Hows that for an opening, no, yes?) 😀

I wanted to do something completely different in regards to this post.

As we all know, I am a typical Melbournian. I love my black. I wear it, I love it & suffice to say I breathe it. So I decided to do something different and grab this dress from my mothers wardrobe and style it up. I really wanted to see how versatile my style is. Wearing colour and styling this dress proves that.

I don’t know if it’s because of it’s classic pencil style, my mum has so many of these in her wardrobe with every colour and pattern you can think of.  (This is 1 of the Style Advice’s she has taught me).

I also decided to wear this dress with my fake fur jacket my mama gifted to me. Something I can wear forever and ever. I am so going to wear this jacket throughout Autumn – Winter and I am not even sorry for that 😉 lol

Thanks Mama!

Question to you guys reading this, has your mum given you style advice that has stuck with you? Comment below

Cheers  🙂

Simply Styled in Print

Hi guys,

If any of you know me, I love interacting with different nationalities, religions and of course different aspects of life. It’s nothing more enjoyable for me as I find it mentally stimulating.

Now collaborating is no different. Meeting new bloggers in the industry is such a thrill for me. It’s great to know what makes them start a blog. Why they’re doing it etc, what makes them tick and what inspires them and etc.

So when Edwina came down to Melbourne and we decided to do an impromptu shoot by using Melbourne’s Lane ways.

Check out the look below:

Her instagram link is here for you to check out 🙂 Enjoy! Style Decoy  (I also got the chance to take an outfit of the day for Edwina. Have a look at my photography)

This look is for a Simple Saturday and a nice look for a hot steamy Melbourne night. #summervibes 🙂

Take care all

Let’s do drinks and catch up.

Hi All & Welcome to 2017 on the blog:

I have been dying to tell you but I have some news for you. 2017 will be THE year for me. I can finally tell you so here it goes:

  1. I am building my own house. This has been such an exhausting time for me as things have been on the back burner with the land etc. But can finally say, I will be officially an “adult” with  a mortgage in 2017 . I decided to do this for myself and my future self as I am firm believer, you don’t need a man to complete you BUT you can do anything.
  2. New Blog, will be happening once point 1 is completed. A new name has been picked and it will be….. “The Elegance of She”. (I’ve actually had help with this so a big thank you to that person). I want my blog to be a place where anyone of any size, coloured skin or race can come and visit. I hope to give you inspiration in being elegant. But trust me, nothing will change, it will just be a better blog for you all & to think you will be able to actually buy what I post.
  3. With point 2, I shall be making merchandise as previously advised &
  4. I want to make it official and I will be starting You Tube. Ill have a bunch of things on there like Tutorials, Vlogs, Lookbook and What’s in my bag and other things that You Tube is famous for.

Anyway, just want to say a cliche sentence right now and thank everyone for following me and reading my posts. It has been a pleasure thus far of the blogging world.  🙂 I hope you have enjoyed it and cant wait for the next 10 months of a ride.

Thanks all

P.s This is part 2 of my photoshoot for “My Classics”. This is showing how I’d style an off the shoulder top. I have been organising my birthday, so this is the perfect outfit for a girls night out.

Enjoy 🙂

How to buy Vintage

Hello All,

So sorry for the lack of posting, I have been on holidays and just got back.. But when I was away, a  Vintage store Geelong Vintage Market was down the road from my hotel and since then was inspired to do a how to check list kinda post for you all: I purely love vintage as 99% of the time, the quality is much better. Whether it be jewls, bags, shoes or clothing.  They just don’t make it like they use to.

Now, if you checked my Instagram: Follow me I had a good few options which had made the decision hard than ever. I didn’t have much money on me which had made it harder.

Anyway thought i’d give you some tips on how I bought my goodies, these have helped me: (Note: these tips help generally when shopping, not just for vintage)

1) What’s your favourite Era of vintage? Check out the store first to get a good feel what they sell.   My favourite era is from the 1920’s to the 1950’s. .

2) Are you checking out something in particular? I.e bag, jewls, clothes etc – make sure you know what you want to buy as this will make your decision making alot easier.

3) Know what works for you.

4) The Hype of getting vintage can be overwhelming, so  I’d recommend getting somethng you can honestly wear over and over again. Try finding your own classic. Like for me, I am not a fan of the gold these days but somehow vintage gold looks so much better quality.

Now, the options at the Geelong Vintage market were endless and I could’ve been real bad and bought the whole store but lucky for me, I have self control  and was able to walk away with some good finds.

Hopefully everyone has had a beautiful start to 2017.

P.s This is 1 of the looks I’ve styled as of apart of the launch of my new Category named “My classics”.  This category is dedicated to Classic pieces in your wardrobe that every fashionista needs.. Anyway this is look 1, so stay tuned for the rest <3.

How to : Pearl Choker

Hey all,

If you noticed I posted on Insta the other weekend ( check Chicgeek85 / OOTN ) I had did a look for my cousin’s pre wedding party. I wore a simple blush skirt with off the shoulder top and my vintage pearl necklaces with my Chanel brooch. So many people complimented on my necklace but in fact, they were 2 pearl necklaces and a brooch.  It’s super easy and here we go:

** Please note, I’ve used my wrist as an example of a neck*

Step 1: I grabbed 2 necklaces (1 vintage and 1 fake) pearl necklaces in order to gain a layers effect.

Step 2:  Wrap around your neck until comfortable.

Step 3: Grab your brooch and clip it over your necklace like so.

Step 4: And voile!

Note: I’d wear this with something open neck like off the shoulder top that  I got from Boohoo a while ago, just so I could show it off. Something timeless, chic, classic and elegant but still on trend. (Just refer to my outfit as mentioned earlier)

Hope everyone had a beautiful new years and I look forward to working with you all in 2017.

Thank you so much for your support. 🙂

Take care xx

The Peach Box: Collab

Hey all,

Jewls;  a classic, timeless way to update, dress up, elevate and make an outfit look extra elegant in simple ways. Being the European that I am ( Albanian / Turkish background ) , jewls have been in our culture for a long time. So long that, if you were newlyweds the bride was given ropes of gold ..

Being the modern stylish woman that I am, I am not a real fan of so much gold as what they gave to the brides but more into pearls,  silver, rose gold, diamonds and last but not least costume jewelry.

Ok, we all should know that we don’t need to spend alot of money to have some decent jewelry or make a beautiful timeless outfit, which is why it was a great opportunity to work with The Peach box.

I picked these 2 items as I find they have a timeless and elegant feature that we all know I love.

On another note, just wanted to wish everyone a Merry Christmas x

This post was in collaboration with The Peach Box. These items were gifted to me but have no influence on me whatsoever.

Xx

New Year, new blog?

Hello World!

So, 2016 is at a near close and have found my inner voice more now than ever.

Firstly, my blog has turned 2.. It’s still a baby but now its able to walk and talk and now, I am starting to find my voice in this blogging world.

Secondly, 2017 my blog will become affiliated as this is something I am working towards.

Thirdly, I am making merchandise for my readers. This includes Lanyards, Take away coffee cups, key rings & anything that is Chic, Classy, Timeless & Fun (the best way to describe my personal style). So #watchthisspace

Anyway, I have decided to do this look based on my new midi skirt I bought recently & have added it to my new category called “My classics”. A midi skirt (no matter what size, style, type or colour) is a classic that you can have in your wardrobe. You can make new outfits and this was one of them.

This was one of my looks, that I have styled this skirt for Summer.

Anyway, wanted to wish everyone the best for 2017… See you on the flipside.

Take care

xx

Real Fashion for Real People

Hi All,

Hope all is well. It’s been a while in-between posts but I thought i’d go by the saying “patience is a virtue” cause I’ve got a hell of a post for you.

I am going to be “real” with you guys and here we go:

  • I am 31 but my soul is 101.
  • I lost my dad a few years ago to Lymphoma Cancer. Since then, life is not the same but I am slowly trying to find ways to move on with this.
  • If you probably notice just under my knees I have some scars. From a young I lose my balance, or trip over or had vertigo or whatever it was and when I fell, it was on my knees. Once you start falling on the same place for a long time, they eventually scarred. No Oil or cream has gotten rid of them. 😦
  • Have been working the same place for 12 years  with a bunch of lovely people and thanks to the lessons that we learn daily, I have stayed.
  • I love coffee  (In case you didn’t know! LOL ).. My order is latte by the way.
  • If I could go back in time, I’d probably slap the old me as I was too naive.
  • I actually thank god daily for the lessons and the bad situations that have happened to me cause if it wasn’t for those times or situations I’d never be the person I am today.
  • I’m an aquarian star sign. Loyal as ever, nicest person in the world but get on my bad side and watch out
  • I am very honest and whatever say, I say down the line. No hidden agenda.
  • I have more male friends than female. Females are down right catty and I cannot take that drama &
  • I quit smoking 3 years ago, this year October. Best feeling ever knowing I did it cold turkey, however, after that I developed a shopping addiction, hence why I have a lot of clothes and shoes. I now have too much so I am slowly trying to sell them.

🙂

In regards to this post, I have collaborated with Eshakti ,  a company that is launching a  campaign “real fashion for real women”.

They’re a website that are decided to altering to what you order. Yes that’s right ladies and gents ;  you can be your own fashion designer. Ever found you always wanted to tweak a dress because either the straps or the length was too short! Well now you can.

Disclaimer: please note that this dress was gifted to me in order to be apart of this campaign.

Thanks All 🙂
